Is Your Job Listed On Hoosier Hot 50?

INDIANAPOLIS  – The Indiana Department of Workforce Development has unveiled its latest list of the top 50 high-wage jobs expected in the state by 2022.

The forecast, compiled every two years by the DWD, is intended to be a tool for Hoosiers looking for guidance about high-wage and high-demand careers available now, and expected in the future.

Here are the top five:

  • Registered nurse, $57,370
  • K-12 teacher, $49, 151
  • Truck driver, $38, 470
  • Wholesale/manufacturing sales rep, $53,790
  • General manager, $90,540

This year, 18 new jobs made the list -- the most since it began in 2006 -- and nearly 90 percent of the jobs listed require some type of post-secondary certificate or degree.
