Indy's 1st Indoor Dog Park Opens

Indy's 1st Indoor Dog Park Opens

Indianapolis' first indoor dog park opens Saturday, January 5th, 2019. It includes 6-thousand-500 square feet of enclosed space for dogs and their owners.

The Indy Indoor Bark Park offers space for dogs and their owners to have play time- regardless of the weather conditions. Darius Smith came up with the idea when he moved to Indianapolis from Las Vegas and discovered there were no indoor dog parks in the area.

“In the last month it has exceeded my expectations. It actually much better, much more eye-catching, a lot cooler looking than what I could ever dream for it to be. I just wanted a place to play where it would be warm” says Smith.

There were minor delays in opening the facility, but it’s now ready to open. It is located near Castleton Square Mall.
