IFD, IMPD Teaming Up For Drug Take Back Event

Five Indianapolis fire stations, including Station 1 in the 1900 block of W. 10th St., will participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

The Indianapolis fire and police departments are teaming up with the DEA to provide drug take back locations this weekend.

Five Indianapolis Fire Department stations will be used as drop off locations during the DEA's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, Oct. 24. The stations will be among several sites the DEA has organized across the state. A complete list of locations, searchable by zip code, is available on the agency's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day website.   

Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department will be on hand to collect unwanted prescription drugs at the fire stations from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The IFD stations participating in Take Back Day include:

  • Station 1  - 1903 W. 10th St.
  • Station 2 -  4120 Mitthoeffer Road
  • Station 4 -  8404 N. Ditch Road
  • Station 23 - 1108 E. Thompson Road
  • Station 27 - 2918 E. 10th St.
