Huddleston Named President Of Martin University

Martin University’s board of trustees announced Monday that Sean L. Huddleston will succeed Eugene White as president of the liberal arts institution.

Huddleston is currently vice president for inclusion and equity at the University of Indianapolis. He will begin his new position at Martin on March 25.

“I am deeply honored and extremely excited to have been selected to serve as the next President of Martin University,” Huddleston said through a press release from the university. “I truly believe that its rich history and mission make Martin one of the most important higher education institutions in our region. Dr. Eugene White did a tremendous job leading the institution, resulting in Martin’s being stable and poised for growth."

White, who has served as president since 2013, announced his retirement in August. The trustees say he will continue to serve the liberal arts institution as president emeritus.
