The Indiana General Assembly passed a bill Wednesday that would give money to adult high school programs to reward student achievement. If signed by Gov. Eric Holcomb, it would create the Workforce Diploma Reimbursement Program.
The Workforce Diploma Reimbursement Program would give adult education programs up to $6,750 per graduate. To be eligible, education providers must have been established at least two years, grant high school diplomas to adults 22 or older and maintain a graduation rate of at least 50%, among other requirements.
The Governor’s Workforce Cabinet and the Office of Workforce Development will oversee the program.
