Town hall forums for candidates running in the 5th District Congressional primary race have been postponed due to concerns around the coronavirus.

A virtual event for 14 of the Republican candidates was scheduled for Monday, March 16. It was planned to be filmed at WFYI studios and broadcast online. Organizers say it will be postponed until April 20.

A virtual forum for the Democrats originally scheduled for next week will also be rescheduled.

The seat is open after Rep. Susan Brooks (R-IN05) announced her retirement from Congress last year.
