A downtown company recently announced the opening of its second Indianapolis office.

Logistics Company, Spot Freight Inc. employs over 350 in-office workers, and that number is expected to grow to 600.

CEO Andrew Elsener talked about what has fueled the company’s growth.

“We've been kind of unique in the country and what we serve. So, we do mostly packaging. And we're, we're one of the few in the country we're not. We're a bootstrap company. We're not private equity backed venture capital back. So, we've done it with a lot of great people,” Elsener said.

Elsener said Indianapolis is the ideal location for growth.

“If you think about what it takes to grow a company that does freight, we're not moving the freight. We're connecting the two. So, you have great university systems that feed into this location that give us the talent and the access to talent that we need. And it's a city that's affordable,” Elsener said.

The company also has locations in Charlotte, North Carolina, Tempe, Arizona, and Tampa, Florida.

The company occupies floors 11 and 12 of the newly renovated Capital Center.
