Nearly 1,000 volunteers will roll up their sleeves to help revitalize neighborhoods around central Indiana.

Now in its 18th year, Comcast Cares Day is the company’s celebration of its commitment to volunteerism and service

Local employees will help with various projects that involve nonprofit organizations, says Comcast Indiana Spokesman Mike Wilson.

“We’ll go out and help Boys and Girls Club, and Girls Inc. of Indiana and Easter Seals and go to a location and do any number of things like mulch work or helping with landscaping,” Wilson says.

Comcast Cares Day events are planned throughout Indiana on Saturday, May 4.

The company also expects more than 100,000 volunteers to participate in projects across the country and around the world.
