One Central Indiana community is reaching out to the public for feedback. Starting this week 1,200 citizens in Noblesville will receive notification that they’ve been randomly selected to participate in a community survey.
Manager of Vision Noblesville, Cindy Benedict, says the last time residents were surveyed in 2010 it was able to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses.
"That information was used to create five strategies." Benedict says.
Those core improvement efforts include establishing a workforce development council, creating a volunteer network, expanding education opportunities, aligning resources for those in need and coordinating health initiatives.
The growing city in Hamilton County is looking for guidance and insight for future city planning and projects like mass transit. The survey will be opened to the public after the initial results are returned.
