Christmas Tree Recycling Program Accepting Trees

Christmas Tree Recycling Program Accepting Trees

The City’s Christmas tree recycling program is now accepting trees.  The annual program from the Indianapolis Department of Public Works offers recycling at eight parks across the city.

The program will repurpose live trees by chipping them into mulch and soil blends to be used at Indy Parks properties. Last year more than 7,000 trees were recycled.

DPW asks that Marion County residents remove all ornaments and other decorations. Trees will be accepted through Jan. 31.
