Bills Targeting Meth Production Advance Out Of Committee

Gov. Mike Braun announced attorney Jennifer Ruby as the state’s Public Access Counselor. She will provide guidance and advice on the state’s public records and open meetings laws.

Advocates and Medicaid members said proposed changes to Medicaid could lead to bigger issues for Hoosiers and the state. Demonstrators called on lawmakers and the governor to protect Medicaid from changes being made at the state and federal level.

A potential overhaul of the state’s Medicaid expansion program would include changes such as caps on enrollment and limits on lifetime eligibility. The overhaul would also reintroduce a proposal that the federal government previously blocked because it could lead to a loss of coverage.
