Ball State unveiled a new marketing campaign Monday, with the slogan "We Fly." University President Geoffrey Mearns says the campaign provides a direction for the future.

“Very quickly we gravitated towards those words and those visual images, one because they are distinctive, memorable. They also are consistent with our institutional aspiration,” Mearns says.

Faculty member Denise Seabert says the new campaign captures the responsibility she feels to prepare students for the real world.

“For faculty, you know, part of our job is to help these students create that vision for their own flight,” Seabert says.

Just this year academic year, Ball State enrolled 22,513 students – the largest in the school’s 99-year history. Mearns iterated that the new brand is a tool to help Ball State communicate growth and relevance to stakeholders.
