Amazon says it plans to hire 3,000 people at its new delivery station in Indianapolis.
Spokesperson Andre Woodson says the stations help speed up deliveries for customers.
“Those delivery vans take off to deliver the last mile of customer orders of packages across the region so we are really excited to expand our footprint and offer these additional job opportunities.”
The Indianapolis facility is one of seven Amazon delivery stations in the state. In 2021, Amazon opened four new delivery stations in Indiana and will open two more buildings in September.
Nationally, the company is looking to hire 125,000 employees. A virtual career day will take place Wednesday to help fill some of the positions.
