2-Year-Old Boy Shot While Sleeping In West-Side Indianapolis Home

A 2-year-old boy was shot while he slept in his bed Thursday night on the west-side of Indianapolis, police say.

The shooting took place at about 11:20 p.m. on the 700 block of North Elder Avenue. The boy was shot in the leg and taken to Riley Children’s Hospital in stable condition.

Police say they believe the shots had been fired from outside the home. No suspects have been taken into custody as of Friday morning.
