About the Event

Get a first look at the long-awaited sequel Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light on Monday, March 3 at 6:30 p.m. at WFYI Studios. This WFYI Live and British Telly Club screening is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required for attendees. In addition to viewing the first episode of the new show, attendees will also enjoy snacks, drinks, prizes and more. You will not want to miss this screening ahead of the program’s Sunday, March 23 premiere at 9 p.m. on WFYI.

The sequel picks up where Wolf Hall left off — with the public execution of Henry VIII’s second wife, Anne Boleyn. Henry VIII (Damian Lewis) is emboldened to continue with his marriage to his new wife, the lovely Jane Seymour (Kate Phillips). In the shadows, Thomas Cromwell (Mark Rylance) continues to pull the strings, all while making his mark as one of the most influential and feared men of his time. Cardinal Wolsey (Jonathan Pryce), Princess Mary (Lilit Lesser), Rafe Sadler (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) and the other members of the British Royal Court can only watch as the rule of Henry VIII de-evolves into the brutal reign many know it to be today, while Cromwell is forced to reckon with the choice between what is right and what it will take to survive.
