Splendid Table is a culinary, culture,
and
lifestyle program that celebrates food
-- how it touches our lives and feeds
our souls.
The program explores relationships of food
to travel, health, ecology, and cultures,
and it offers commentaries by a variety
of writers and personalities who share
their
passion for the culinary delights!
The
James Beard Foundation called her a
riveting storyteller with a contagious
passion for food when in 1988
it named Lynne Rossetto Kasper one of
the 12 best cooking teachers in America.
Her book, The Splendid Table, was awarded
the 1993 Cookbook of the Year, and was
the first book ever to win both the
Julia Child Best Cookbook of the Year
Award and The James Beard 1993 Cookbook
of the Year.
