Former first lady Michelle Obama is coming to Indianapolis.  She will speak at Bankers Life Fieldhouse Tuesday, Feb. 13.

Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, a special interest fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation, is hosting the moderated conversation.

“Michelle Obama and Women’s Fund share common interests,” says Jennifer Pope Baker, the organization’s executive director. “We are both invested in improving the lives of women and girls. It is an incredible honor to be able to host this special evening. Mrs. Obama’s work is an inspiration.”

Alecia DeCoudreaux will serve as moderator for the evening. A founding board member of Women’s Fund, DeCoudreaux is the former president of Mills College, a liberal arts college for women, as well as a former Eli Lilly and Company executive.

Baker says Women’s Fund is working with select grantees to distribute 500 free event tickets to women and girls who may not otherwise be able to attend the event.

Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, Jan. 12.
