GREENSBURG, Ind. (AP) — Honda says it's adding production of its CR-V model to its Greensburg, Indiana, plant in 2017.
Honda Manufacturing of Indiana announced the SUV will join the Civic sedan in being assembled at the southeastern Indiana plant. Honda says the move coincides with ending production of the CR-V in Guadalajara, Mexico, and starting production there of the new HR-V crossover vehicle.
The Greensburg plant about 50 miles southeast of Indianapolis has produced the Civic since it began manufacturing operations in October 2008. It also made the Acura ILX from 2012 to 2014
The CR-V was Honda's second highest selling model in the U.S. in 2015.
Honda's announcement did not mention any new jobs or investment at the Greensburg plant resulting from the CR-V move.
