The 2008 Session
of the Indiana General Assembly could
bring changes in Hoosier government
unlike anything seen in the past
century. The property tax crisis
has created a movement for government
reform, but what direction will it
take? 2008 also marks the 26th year
of Indiana Lawmakers on WFYI, the
longest-running broadcast of Indiana
political issues in the state. Indiana
Lawmakers with Jon Schwantes will
track the path of these changes with
the men and women casting the votes
- your legislators and political
leaders.
Every week you'll hear from the
elected officials making the decisions
that will affect you and your family.
Join host Jon Schwantes and Indiana
Public Broadcasting reporter Mary
Hartnett as they follow the issues
and ask the hard questions you want
answered. Expert analyst Ed Feigenbaum
will offer a candid assessment of
the political action when rhetoric
is set aside. Property taxes, schools,
healthcare - count on Indiana Lawmakers
and WFYI to challenge your legislators
on the issues that matter to you.
