The Indiana Dramatic Arts and Communications Festival and Competition is an opportunity for young children, youth and adults to share their passion for poetry, drama and communication in a nurturing environment.
The festival features fun activities for parents, siblings and friends. Local organizations that support the arts are invited to share information about poetry, acting and more.
The competition gives participants the opportunity to perform in front of judges.
Participants will receive written and oral critique designed to provide encouragement and direction to help improve performance and confidence.
The competition is open to students of all grade levels (4 years old by June 1, 2010) and adults. .
Contestants can select a piece from the following categories to present at competition.

After the inaugural INDACS Festival and Competition, hosted by WFYI Public Broadcasting last year, we are excited to begin planning for the 2010 competition. This year's event will take place at WFYI Public Broadcasting's headquarters on Saturday, October 16, 2010.

To provide an opportunity for young children, youth and adults to perform from a list of categories as specified in a catalog of choices; poetry, monologue, duologue, etc., in front of judges. The focus is to provide an individual written and oral critique that will give encouragement and direction to seek a high standard of performance and confidence.
