Facing the Mortgage Crisis is a collaborative effort among public broadcasting and local organizations to educate the community about the consequences of mortgage foreclosure, types of mortgage scams and options to foreclosure. Here are components underway for this summer-long public service campaign.

  • On-air Facing the Mortgage Crisis PSAs, promoting awareness of local resources, and useful information for people facing mortgage foreclosure.
  • Web links to local resources and related articles and videos, including five special episodes of A Place of Our Own and Los Niños en Su Casa.
  • Locally produced half-hour TV program, Get Help, Get Hope: Indiana's Mortgage Crisis. John Ketzenberger, business columnist for The Indianapolis Star, moderates studio discussion among mortgage bankers, legal professionals and government officials. Their conversation touches upon mortgage fraud, foreclosure relief and neighborhood stabilization.
